OCTOBER 2010Laurianne plays bass and sings a duet with Doug Jeffords on his latest CD WEST OF THE PECOS. The song, Buzz Cason's song RICOCHET...was also recorded by New Mexico's premier dance band SXSW featuring Michael Hearne. The release concert was held October 6 at Santa Fe Brewing Company. Musicians on stage included Sharon Glichrist, Jack Horner and Kurt Storey (from Nashville), Jeff Scroggins, Cathy Faber, Dave Devlin, Auge Hays, Lydia Clarke and CD engineer Jono Manson.
August 2010
While touring through New England, and with sincere encouragement and support from all involved, Laurianne records the beginnings of a new CD with a fabulous band: Wes Brown (awe-inspiring, giggle-inciting upright bass), Lincoln Hubley (aka "Slinky Linky",drums, engineering, general fabulosity), Joe Boyle (Sublime Stealth Guitar). Hosted by Mark Herschler at his secret home studio somewhere in Northampton, MA, with generous time and help from engineer/bassist Dan Goitein and consultant/interior designer/carpenter/pizza magi Brian MacGuire. Guest appearances and visitations during the month by Stevie Z, Celia Miller and John Cruz always appreciated and welcome. Sincere gratitude and amazement towards all!
Progress is eminent at the time of this report. As a matter of fact, this writer should get off the web and work on those vocals!
